VF07 – Light Object

The object is formed from a cut surface that is stretched and opened into space, transforming a flat material into a porous three-dimensional structure. As the surface expands, openings emerge that allow the light to pass through and cast changing patterns onto its surroundings.
The construction is reduced to a simple system of interlocking parts. The individual elements are held together solely by being plugged into one another, without glue or additional fixings.
The object can be placed freely, leaned against a surface or mounted directly as a wall light. Its flexible positioning allows the same construction to take on different spatial relationships while the material remains the defining element of both form and light

Each piece is unique, with the material's individual response to forming and drying shaping its final character.
