VF09_Table Lamp

The tension of the object lies in the contrast between material and form. A precisely manufactured luminous core is surrounded by vulcanized fibre, whose soft, textile-like appearance contrasts with the geometric clarity of the central element. The result is an object that exists between sculpture, architectural model and atmospheric light.
The luminous body consists of three vertically arranged cylindrical elements, connected by a simple cotton thread. The visible seam becomes both a constructive detail and a defining visual element.
Each piece is unique. While the material is guided through a defined process, its final form cannot be fully controlled. During drying, the vulcanized fibre develops subtle variations, allowing the material itself to participate in the design process. Each object is therefore shaped not only by its construction, but also by the inherent behaviour of the material.

Each piece is unique, with the material's individual response to forming and drying shaping its final character.
